Book Blind Date

I’ve seen you, you must know, searching the library shelves; searching for love.  Sometimes it feels hopeless, what if there isn’t another book that can make your heart race.

There are just so many options out there and sometimes I too feel lost searching for that next great book relationship.

Luckily, you all have me. Now I know many of you must have played this game before, but if you are new to our own Library dating service, let me explain. Below are four first line(s) of four mystery books. If one of them piques your interest, scroll down and click the catalogue entry for it below. I can’t wait for you to come eye to eye with your next great read.

Blind Date #1

First line: ”The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.”

Blind Date #2

First lines: “For some they come in with the tide. For others they sail forever on the horizon, never out of sight, never landing until the Watcher turns his eyes away in resignation, his dreams mocked to death by Time. That is the life of men.”

Blind Date #3

First line: “Like I told my friends at school, living in a motel is always exciting—especially during an alligator attack”

Blind Date #4

First line: “They moved swiftly, silently, with purpose, under a crystalline, star-filled night in western Siberia.”
