The Wednesday event will include dessert and personal conversation with the author. Limited tickets ($20) for Wednesday night only will be available to Provo City Library cardholders beginning February 5 at the First Floor Reference Desk. Ticket price includes a hardcover copy of THE BEAR AND THE NIGHTINGALE.

Votes for Women! 150 Years of Utah Women's Suffrage

2020 marks the 150th anniversary of Utah women gaining the right to vote and the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment.

Join Better Days 2020, an organization committed to promoting Utah women’s history, in celebrating these milestones and the publication of Thinking Women: A Timeline of Suffrage in Utah and the picture book Champions of Change: 25 Women Who Made History.

This is a free event; no tickets required. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Better Days 2020.

Sophie Blackall is the two-time Caldecott medal-winning illustrator of FINDING WINNIE, HELLO LIGHTHOUSE, and dozens of other books for children and adults. Join her for a lecture and book signing to celebrate the opening of our new Attic exhibit, FINDING SOPHIE BLACKALL.

Free tickets will be available online beginning February 24 at 9:00 am.
