Who is eligible to vote in Utah?

You must be

  • at least 18 years old
  • a United States citizen
  • a resident of Utah at least 30 days before the election

 

How do I register to vote?

Must be registered to vote 30 days before an election by mail and 15 days before in person.

In person:

Utah County Clerk, Elections Office
100 E. Center St., Rm. 3100
M-F 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bring a photo ID and a document that verifies your Utah residency such as printed checks, utility bill, bank statement, etc.

Online:

vote.utah.gov

By mail:

Send in a registration form to the county clerk.

Must be postmarked 30 days before an election.

 

When do I register to vote?

Postmark Deadline:  Voter registration forms must be postmarked at least 30 days before an election in order to vote in that election.
In-Person Registration: You may register in-person at the County Clerk's Office by the 15th day before the election. You will not be eligible to vote early.

Do I ever need to re-register?

Voter registration is valid for life, unless you

  • Move
  • Change your name
  • Wish to affiliate with a different party
