LDS Fiction
Short Definition of LDS Fiction
LDS fiction is literature for and about Mormons. Usually, but not always, the novels and storeis include references to LDS/Mormon culture and beliefs and feature characters who are LDS> Most of LDS fiction is printed and distributed by publishers marketing to the LDS niche market. These publishers also publish fiction titles that appeal to LDS readers but have no specific LDS references. All fiction titles form these publishers will ahve the LDS sticker in the Provo Library fiction collection even if they do not feature LDS characters.
LDS Fiction Booklists
LDSFICTIONatPCL is a Library Thing account that lists all the books that have an LDS genre label at the Provo City Library. You can search and sort LDSFICTIONatPCL by author, title, publisher, year and you can print lists for your use. The tags at LDSFICTIONatPCL are a handy way to quickly sort by mystery, romance, general fiction, young adult fiction or series title.
Provo City Library has created an account at LibraryThing.com where you can see a list of all the LDS young adult fiction titles in the YA collection at Provo library. You can find books by author, title, or publisher. We’ve also put series titles in the tags and in the title. You can find a series by searching for key words or using the tag for the series you want.

The Association for Mormon Letters
The Association for Mormon Letters is "an Internet mailing list for the discussion of Mormon literature." One of the features is a review archive with more than 700 reviews dating back to 1995. The Association also gives annual awards for the best Mormon literature.
Time Out For Women Book Club
Deseret Book Company sponsors community book clubs at this website and suggests book club selections as well as offering book discussion guides, messages boards and other resources for LDS book clubs.
Mormon Literature and Arts Database
The Mormon Literature & Arts Database (formerly Mormon Literature Database) is a scholarly resource that primarily contains information about LDS literature, film and music and their authors and creators. The database lists works by and about Mormons in various fiction genres as well as hymns, films and other literary writings from Mormon periodicals. The database does not include reviews.
Whitney Awards
The Whitney awards are given each year (since 2007) and honor LDS fiction novels in a number of categories: Romance/Women’s Fiction, Suspense/Mystery, Speculative Fiction, Youth Fiction, Historical, General Fiction, Best Novel of the Year, and Best Novel by a New Author. At the Whitney Awards site you can see the nominees or get a list of the award winners to read.
