Articles are assigned a reading level: Easy, Moderate, or Challenging, based on age-appropriateness, educational content, interest, and level of readability.

World Book Kids
Based on the popular World Book Encyclopedia this database also contains extensive graphic and multimedia enhancements, special reports on selected topics, and links to external Web sites specially selected by World Book editors.

Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.


Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia
Provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas. Information can be searched by subject or keywords within the entry.

Provides full text for more than 150 popular, magazines for middle and jr. high school research. Full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles), and information dates as far back as 1990.
