The Friends of the Provo City Library are dedicated to supporting and furthering the goals of the library and to helping meet the increasing demands for library services. Friends of the library assist with book sales, publicity, as board members, or by volunteering some of their time.
Becoming a member of Friends is quick and easy. The level of your involvement and contribution is up to you. And best of all, you DO NOT have to be a Provo City resident to join; anyone can become a member of the Friends of the Provo City Library.
Provo City Library is always looking for volunteers to assist in several areas of the library. Volunteer opportunities range from sorting and shelving books to assisting in Story Times and computer classes. All volunteers must complete and return a Volunteer Application (available online or at the First Floor Reference desk of the library) which is sent to the Provo City Human Resources Department for a required background check which can take up to one week.
Please note that all volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and anyone under the age of 18 must also return a Parental/Guardian Consent Form.
