Shaw Computer Training Room

The Shaw Computer Training Room, #260 is located on the second floor of the Rogers Wing, next to the Copy Room, and consists of eighteen student workstations and one teacher's computer with projector. You do not need to sign up to use the Computer Training Room when it is open for the public. There is NO public internet access in the Shaw Computer Training Room.

 The Computer Training Room is used for:

• Creating documents using various Microsoft programs such as résumés, flyers, letters, etc. Other software is available.
• Individual word processing practice or training. Tutorial books are available at the 2nd Floor Reference Desk.
• Viewing or retrieving files using CD-ROM Drives. Software installation is not permitted.
• Free computer classes taught by a librarian.
• Classes on request – Register your youth or adult group for their own computer training session. View the list of computer classes we offer or check out the ‘Have it Your Way’ page for information on creating a unique group program.
• Private group use for a fee. To schedule the Shaw Computer Training Room for private use, please contact the Scheduling Office at 801-852-7691.

El laboratorio de entrenamiento se puede utilizar para crear documentos usando varios programas de Microsoft. El internet no está disponible en el laboratorio. El laboratorio está localizado en el segundo piso del edificio nuevo llamado (Rogers Wing), al lado del salón de la copiadora, y consiste de dieciocho estaciones de trabajo. Hay veces que el laboratorio está reservado para entrenamientos pero cuando está abierto para el público, no se necesita registrar para usarlo.

No hay acceso a la internet en este laboratorio.

El laboratorio actualmente se utiliza para:

* clases gratis de computación enseñadas por un bibliotecario
* clases por petición
* uso privado para grupos

El laboratorio de entretenamiento se puede reservar para uso privado. Por favor llame al Scheduling Office (oficina de reservaciones) al 801-852-7691.
